Mohan Bodduluri, PhD

THE SPEAKER

Mohan Bodduluri, PhD, is President, CTO and co-founder of Zap Surgical Systems. Prior to ZAP, Mohan co-founded Restoration Robotics, a manufacturer of medical hair-transplant robotic devices. At Restoration Robotics, Mohan played the role of CTO in bringing robotics, image guidance, and computer automation to the world of hair transplantation in creating the first commercial robotic device in the world that performed fully automatic surgery.

Previously, Mohan was Vice President of R&D at Accuray Incorporated, the market leader in robotic radiosurgery. During his tenure there, he was responsible for leading its robotics work, field service, treatment planning software, and overall system design. He also played a central role in clinical investigations and customer education for the CyberKnife System.

Mohan received his Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India, his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine, and an M.B.A. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
